Charts and routes
Flight Planning Workspace
Combine sectional, TAC and helicopter charts with airports, GPS fixes, coordinate waypoints, route calculations, and current or nearby airport weather.

Aeronautical route map
Map tip: The online FAA sectional loads by default. Zoomed-out previews and helicopter charts use the shared Navigator chart packages; their edition appears in the map attribution. Zoom in for readable detail. Choose FAA TAC in Layers when needed. Use Add waypoint to tap the map, Inspect layers for details, or ⛶ for full screen.
Layer visibility: Aviation layers appear only within their published geographic coverage and supported zoom levels. If a selected chart is blank, zoom in or move into its coverage area. Weather advisory and PIREP layers load only when selected. The optional NWS radar layer shows the latest available CONUS composite base reflectivity. FAA TFRs apply to crewed aircraft and drones, but not every UAS-related NOTAM has map geometry; always verify current notices in official FAA NOTAM Search before flight.

This workspace provides preliminary calculations and reference information. Nearby weather is selected only when a route contains no airport stops and may not represent conditions elsewhere along the route. Wind correction uses the nearest matched forecast station to each leg midpoint and interpolates between available forecast levels; it does not model climb, descent, changing altitude, local terrain effects, routing constraints, airspace, aircraft performance, or reserves required by regulation. Verify headings, winds, fuel, and all other planning information with current official sources before flight.
